Baofeng UV-6 Handheld | USB cable driver Windows 7 Windows 8.1 Cloning Problem

Owner of a Baofeng UV-6B ::   Baofeng UV-6 Cloning Problem

So I spent a lot of time determining how I can use my USB clone cables.

Q.)
I've tried three cables now with my UV6B, all do the same thing. When I try to download from the radio they just cause it to reset. The "official" software works, but it seems like the radio is transmitting when I program it (speakers nearby make noises, the radio gets pretty hot, etc)
Do I just have a bad radio, or am I doing something wrong. I've Googled and I don't see anyone else complaining about CHIRP causing reboots.

So i recently purchased a Baofeng UV-6B and want to setup the radio.  However I was shocked to learn the radio had issues connecting to the popular CHiRP software.

I've had similar experiences with my UV-82. What I normally do is set the radio to a frequency I know is not in use, turn it all the way up, plug the programming cable in and quickly hit upload to radio. The way the programming cable works, it can sometimes cause the radio to transmit. You just have to try to start the upload before it does.
