 BAOFENG UV-B6 Handheld Keypad

Volume Control Knob (On/Off)
- Press/Hold MONI and Rotate knob to adjust volume.

PTT
- Press/Hold to transmit; release to receive.

MENU
- Press MENU key, then to choose desired menu item.
- Press/Hold MENU key for 2 secs to Lock/Unlock keypad.
- Press/Hold MENU key while Turning ON the radio to Reset Radio.
- Press MENU followed by VM/SCAN to start a VFO or Channel Scan.

UP/DOWN key
- Press/Hold to change frequency
- Press to change direction of scanning


- While in menu, sets the menu selection.
- VFO mode, switches Freq/Chan A & Freq/Chan B

FM
- Press to turn on FM Radio
- Press/Hold to Delete Frequency data stored.
- While PTT pressed, used to transmit DTMF # OTA

VM/SCAN
- Switches VFO/MR (Channel mode)
- Press Menu(3sec), then VM/SCAN to Scan Freq/Channel
- Press/Hold VM/SCAN for 3secs to Store Frequency.
- While PTT pressed, used to transmit DTMF * OTA.

NUMERIC KEYS
- Used for entering frequencies, channels, menus, etc.
- While PTT pressed, used to transmit DTMF tones OTA.

MONI ..
- Press/Hold to Bypass Squelch

LCD Backlight ..
- Press to activate backlight (newer models)

FLASHLIGHT .
- Press to turn on flashlight (UV-B6)

01 > 99 (Channel mode)
- Skips directly to the desired channel

RESET RADIO
Press/Hold MENU during PowerOn.
"Reset All" will do a Deep Factory Reset.

DTMF CODES
The DTMF keypad positions for A, B, C & D are:
Menu=A Up=B Down=C =D
VM/SCAN= * FM= #


CREATE CHANNEL mode - Press/Hold VM/SCAN for 3secs to Store Frequency.
Input a channel from "frequency Mode", Press/Hold vm/scan, select to choose desired channel and finish with MENU to save.

DELETE CHANNEL
On the desired channel press and Hold for 9 seconds.
